Biography:
John "Johnny" Rico is the protagonist of the Starship Troopers franchise, first appearing in the 1997 film adaptation of Robert A. Heinlein's novel.
Rico is portrayed as a high school graduate who enlists in the Mobile Infantry to impress his girlfriend, Carmen Ibanez. Initially, he struggles with the rigorous training but eventually finds his footing and demonstrates leadership potential.
